BERLINO – Giovedì 18 luglio ha inaugurato l’edizione 2019 di Plataforma Berlin, rassegna di danza, performance, installazioni e video che nasce dall’idea della coreografa e danzatrice Martha Hincapié Charry – direttrice e curatrice del Festival -, di creare una sinergia tra la scena culturale di Berlino e la creatività di artisti ibero-americani.
A dare il via a Plataforma è stato il gruppo messicano Cuatro X Cuatro.
Nel prestigioso Radialsystem, il gruppo, fondato nel 2007 da Shantí Vera, ha presentato El cuerpo vacío.
Sul palco ci sono due performer che, attraverso il loro movimento, determinano e danno vita allo spazio inteso come luogo in cui nasce l’azione creativa, come area sensibile in cui sviluppare pensieri ma anche forme attraverso la gestualità del corpo.
In questo campo performativo, territorio d’incontro, si materializzano colori e suoni.
In una composizione che nasce al momento e ha senso nel presente, Sendic Vázquez y Shantí Vera giocano con il loro corpo, in una ‘danza’ che preferiscono chiamare corpear.
Corrono, si caricano l’uno sulle spalle dell’altro vicendevolmente, l’uno passivo, l’altro motore dell’azione. A tratti uno diventa voce dell’altro. Influenzati da rumori e musica si muovono in scena alternando momenti carichi di pathos a momenti divertenti e ironici.
Non mancano immagini suggestive, in particolare quella in cui una voce fuori campo, portatrice di istanze e rimostranze politiche e sociali, si ‘materializza’ sul palco a prescindere dalla sua fisicità.
El Cuerpo vacío è uno spettacolo denso ed intenso, con una forte energia, interamente basato sul corpo, lo spazio, la gravità, i suoni, i colori e sugli interessanti effetti della loro interazione.
On Thursday July 18th, Plataforma Berlin edition 2019 was inaugurated.
The interdisciplinary platform for dance, performance, installations and video dance was born by the idea of the choreographer and dancer Martha Hincapié Charry—director and curator of the Festival—to create synergy between the cultural Berlin scene and the creativity of Ibero-American artists.
The Mexican group Cuatro X Cuatro, founded in 2007 by Shantí Vera, kicked off Plataforma. In the prestigious Radialsystem, the group presented El cuerpo vacío.
On stage were two performers who, through their movement, determined and created space intended to birth creative action as a sensitive area of thought and motion.
In this performative field, a meeting ground of color and sound materialized.
In an exhibition that formed meaning in the present, Sendic Vázquez and Shantí Vera played with their bodies, in a ‘dance’ they prefer to call corpear.
They run and load one another onto each other’s shoulders, one passive, the other an engine of action. One becomes the other’s voice. Influenced by noises and music, their movement on stage alternates between moments that are full of pathos and others that are amusing and ironic.
In their performance, there were several evocative images. The peak occurred when a voiceover spoke political statements and reclaimed social instances. The voice materialized on stage regardless of its physicality.
El cuerpo vacío is an intense show, with a strong energy, entirely focused on the body, the space, the sounds, the colors and the impact of interaction.
