Tees Dance Film Fest<. Scadenza presentazione delle candidature 1 marzo 2015. MIDDLESBROUGH (REGNO UNITO) - MIMA-MIDDLESBROUGH INSTITUTE OF MODERN ART
Il Tees Dance Film Fest è un concorso interessato a progetti interdisciplinari che uniscono la coreografia e l’innovativa produzione cinematografica, il cui prodotto finale è un breve film.TDFF mira a fornire una piattaforma per giovani artisti, nonché per gli artisti professionisti al fine di raggiungere un pubblico più ampio e più vario. Per gli organizzatori obiettivo della piattaforma è sviluppare relazioni e reti tra artisti cinematografici di danza e professionisti che operano nella danza in modo interdisciplinare al fine di creare un senso di spirito di comunità e opportunità tra le persone interessate alle opere cinematografiche di danza e alle arti.Quest’anno l’edizione del TDFF si svolgerà il 14 maggio 2015 al Mima-Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art.
TDFF è interessato alle modalità con cui i registi esplorano i generi della coreografia sperimentale creativa e la cinematografia. I film possono includere la vita reale dei danzatori, animazione ed elementi digitali, ma devono fondere danza e cinema in modi originali e innovativi.
La seconda edizione del Tees Dance Film Festival si svolgerà il 14 maggio 2015 e prevede due categorie:
1. Dance Films creati da artisti professionisti
- I film professionali non devono durare più di 15 minuti
- Le candidature di film di danza in questa categoria dovrebbero essere coinvolgenti e creativi, ispirati da spazi, paesaggi e culture.
2. Dance Films creati da giovani artisti tra i 14 e i 25 anni di età
- Il film non devono durare più di 5 minuti
- I film devono catturare il corpo in un modo nuovo e eccitante per esempio come luogo, site specific, frammentazione del corpo danzante, non- linearità.
E’ da evidenziare che non saranno presi in considerazione film che mostrano spettacoli sul palcoscenico o documentari.
Le candidature per entrambe le categorie devono essere inviate entro il 1 marzo 2015 compilando degli appositi form on line disponibili sul sito http://tdff.co.uk/.
Tees Dance Film Fest (UK) – Call for Submissions
At TDFF we are interested in interdisciplinary projects that merge choreography and innovative filmmaking. TDFF aims to provide a platform for young artists as well as professional artists to screen their original works in order to reach a wider more varied audience. Our vision in offering this platform is to develop further relationships and networks with other dance film artists and interdisciplinary dance professionals, whilst also creating a sense of opportunity and community spirit among people interested in dance film works and the arts.
This year’s edition of TDFF will take place at Mima-Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, on Thursday 14th May 2015.
Call for Submissions – We are now seeking short dance films for submission.
Deadline for submission: 1st March 2015
We are interested in ways in which filmmakers explore the genres of creative experimental choreography and filmmaking. Films can include real life dancers, animation and digital elements but must fuse dance and filmmaking in original and innovative ways.
The 2nd exibition of Tees Dance Film Festival will take place on the 14th of May 2015 and will feature two categories:
1. Dance Films created by Professional Artists
- Professional films must be no longer than 15 minutes
- Dance film submissions in this category should be engaging and creative, inspired by spaces, landscapes and cultures
2. Dance Films created by Young Artists 14-25 years.
- The film must be no longer than 5 minutes
- Films that capture the body in new and exciting ways e.g. on location, site specific, fragmentation of the dancing body, non-linearity.
Please note that dance films that show dance performance for the proscenium stage or documentary style will not be considered.
The festival only accepts electronic (online) submissions.
