BERLINO – Dal 24 al 27 novembre 2022, presso il Theater im Delphi di Berlino, il Laborgras, accompagnato dalla musica dell’ensemble Continuum, ha portato in scena Das Fest
La coreografia, andata in onda nel 2021, come spettacolo di danza e concerto, viene finalmente eseguita dal vivo, nella suggestiva sala del Delphi, in cui, negli anni ’20, venivano proiettate le pellicole di cinema muto.
Quando il pubblico entra, l’orchestra, incorniciata dagli archi del proscenio, è già posizionata sul palco, mentre i danzatori si riscaldano nell’iposcenio. Quando inizia la danza, fatta di movimenti ampi e ariosi nel tipico e riconoscibile stile di Renate Graziadei (coreografa, danzatrice e fondatrice del Laborgrass insieme a Arthur Stäldi), inizia ‘La festa’.
Interessante utilizzo dello spazio
Seguendo il ritmo della musica barocca, si avvicendano soli, duo, trio e momenti d’insieme. Lo spettacolo è piacevole, senza colpi di scena né cambi di registro. La coreografia, infatti, è a servizio e perfettamente in linea con la partitura musicale. L’aspetto più interessante del pezzo è l’utilizzo dello spazio. Gli intrecci, abilmente creati attraverso i passaggi e i cambi di direzione, danno profondità alla coreografia e rimandano, in una chiave assolutamente contemporanea, alla struttura delle danze barocche tipiche del XVI e XVII secolo.
Das Fest è un piacevole spettacolo di musica e danza. Niente di sperimentale o concettuale, semplicemente bella danza ben eseguita da tutti i suoi interpreti.
BERLIN – From the 24th to the 27th of November 2022, at the Theater im Delphi in Berlin, the Laborgras, accompanied by the music of the ensemble Continuum, performed Das Fest.
The choreography, which aired in 2021 as a dance show and concert, was finally performed live, in the suggestive Delphi’s room, where silent films were projected in the 1920s.
When the audience enters, the orchestra, framed by the proscenium arches, is already positioned on stage, while the dancers warm up in the hyposcenium. When the dance begins, a choreography made up of large and airy movements in the typical and recognizable style of Renate Graziadei (choreographer, dancer and founder of Laborgrass together with Arthur Stäldi), ‘The Party’ starts.
Interesting use of space
Following the rhythm of the Baroque music played by Continuum, on stage solos, duos, trios and moments of ensemble alternate. The show is pleasant, without twists or changes of register. The choreography, in fact, is at the service and perfectly in line with the musical score. The most interesting aspect of the piece is the use of space. The skilfully interweaving created through passages and changes of direction give depth to the choreography and refer, in an absolutely contemporary key, to the structure of the typical Baroque dances of the 16th and 17th centuries.
Das Fest is a pleasant show of music and dance. Nothing experimental or conceptual, just beautiful dance well performed by all its dancers.
