The National Institute of Music and Dance in Poland is pleased to announce the second call for applications for “Dancing Together, Again!“, a creative residency project implemented under the Creative Europe program, in partnership with Arts Research Institute of Georgia in Tbilisi, Movimento Danza in Naples and TRAFIK Dance/Theatre Company in Rijeka. Its main objectives include cultural exchange, interaction between artists, producers and dance researchers with an emphasis on the creative process and integration with local communities.
The program includes residencies organized from 2023-2024 in Georgia, Croatia, Italy, and Poland, respectively. The second of the residencies, i.e. the one to which this call for applications pertains, will take place in Rijeka, Croatia, between September 3 and September 24, 2023. It will be co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance and the TRAFIK Dance / Theatre Co. based in Croatia. Its topic will be sustainability as seen through the lens of dance and performing arts. Participants will develop a joint strategy for environmental protection, with a particular focus on the Adriatic Sea region. The residency will be curated by Žak Valenta.
For Italy, the applications for the second call can be submitted from April 5 until April 30, 2023.
The project is addressed to all people involved in dance who work in one of 3 groups:
– artist/artist – choreographers and dancers;
– curator/curator – producers, organizers and presenters;
– researcher/researcher – philosophers, theorists, historians, critics, documentarians and kinetographers.
This call for application involves no restrictions based on age, cultural background or special needs. The organizers will provide participants with adequate space for creative work, accommodation, food, insurance, stipend, and reimbursement of transportation costs.
Residency participants will be selected in the course of calls for applications organized simultaneously in all partner countries: Georgia, Croatia, Italy, and Poland. Applications should include a biographical note, portfolio/CV and a video presentation.

The results of the call will be announced by May 31, 2023. Applicants will be informed of the positive decision by email, and the results will be published online at the website of each partner.
