Quest’anno nel programma del Tanz im August c’è anche la Ambiguous Dance Company con Body Concert (2010) di Boram Kim.
Lo spettacolo, strutturato come un concerto, è una vera esplosione di energia.
Nell’arco di un’ora si susseguono ben dieci momenti coreografici con musica che passa da Mozart ai Daft Punk e che accompagna e talvolta trasforma i movimenti dei danzatori da sfrenate sequenze hip hop ad adagio. Molte le gag che spingono gli spettatori a ridere di gusto e applaudire di continuo gli instancabili performer.
Non c’è un filo narrativo da seguire, nessuna sperimentazione, il successo dello spettacolo è il rapporto tra musica e danza, nonché la bravura dei danzatori.
Body Concert è puro intrattenimento di ottima qualità.

The show, structured like a concert, is a real explosion of energy.
In an hour, there are ten choreographic moments with music that goes from Mozart to Daft Punk, and that accompanies and sometimes transforms the movements of the dancers from unbridled hip hop to adagio sequences. Many are the gags that push the spectators to laugh out loud and constantly applaud the tireless performers.
There is no narrative thread to follow, no experimentation; the success of the show is the relationship between music and dance as well as the skill of the dancers.
Body Concert is pure entertainment of excellent quality.
