BERLINO – Dal 13 al 16 dicembre, a Berlino, presso l’Halle Tanzbühne, in occasione del 15° anniversario della sede ormai storica della cie Toula Limnaios, è in scena Wut pezzo del 2012 della coreografa greca.
Lo spettacolo inizia con l’ingresso dei danzatori al buio, poi un cono di luce si accende su una donna, che si gonfia letteralmente di rabbia fino a esplodere e cadere per terra, mentre un uomo, in piedi al centro della sala, fa girare velocemente una fune con all’estremità una torcia che i danzatori schivano con movimenti plastici.
Mentre la musica dal vivo riproduce suoni meccanici, che sembrano provenire dall’interno di una fabbrica, tre danzatrici dispongono dei sassi lungo il proscenio.
Un uomo prende a volo i danzatori che a uno a uno si lanciano su di lui, per poi adagiarli sul pavimento. Con i piedi ancorati a terra dai corpi, si proietta in avanti verso l’unica donna rimasta di fronte a lui e poi si ritrae finché anche lei non gli si lancia tra le braccia.
Esplode una danza bellissima e piena di energia, con movimenti forti e dinamici.
Segue il buio. Quando la luce torna sono tutti di spalle.
Da qui si succedono sequenze di immagini molto intense, accompagnate da una chitarra elettrica, che esprimono tutte un sentimento di ribellione, ira, collera.
Una donna si dimena.
Due uomini ne spingono ripetutamente un terzo, incappucciato, contro una lastra che pende dal soffitto.
La musica incalza e con essa il ritmo dell’azione.
Donne strusciano i sassi a terra – come a voler scrivere – producendo rumori stridenti.
Tutti lanciano delle scarpe e tornano a prenderne altre che lasciano cadere di nuovo.
Sembra che all’improvviso manchi l’ossigeno, i performer fanno fatica a respirare.
Una donna affila un gran coltello.
Continua una danza furiosa.
Le pietre vengono scagliate per terra.
Vengono dati ordini a una donna che li esegue.
Un uomo, trattenuto con delle funi, sforzandosi cerca di camminare, trainando gli altri con sé.
Su questa immagine le luci si spengono e iniziano applausi scroscianti per uno spettacolo travolgente ed emozionante.
In un’epoca in cui si è incapaci di esprimere e manifestare il proprio dissenso contro un sistema corrotto e una società che spesso non ci rispecchia, Wut sembra un grido di rivolta per chi non ha la forza di sfogare la propria rabbia.
From the 13th to the 16th of December, at the Halle Tanzbühne, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the – now – historic headquarters of cie toula limnaios, Wut (2012) is on.
The show begins with the entrance of the dancers in the dark, then a spot light turns on a woman who literally swells with rage until she explodes and falls down to the ground. Meanwhile a man, standing in the middle of the room, spins a rope with a torch at its end which the dancers avoid with plastic movements.
While live music reproduces mechanical sounds, which seem to come from inside a factory, three dancers set stones along the proscenium.
A man takes bodies ‘flying’ towards him and then lays them on the floor. With his feet anchored to the ground by the bodies, he projects himself forward to reach the only woman who stands in front of him and then withdraws, until she throws herself into his arms as well.
A beautiful and energetic dance explodes, with strong and dynamic movements.
The darkness follows. When the lights turn on again, they are all standing from behind.
From here, very intense sequences of images, accompanied by an electric guitar, express a feeling of rebellion and anger.
A woman struggles.
Two men repeatedly push a third, hooded, against a slab hanging from the ceiling.
Music boosts and with it the rhythm of the action.
Women rub stones on the ground – as if they were writing – producing strident noises.
All the performers throw shoes and go back to take more and drop them down again.
It seems that suddenly there is no oxygen, the performers find it hard to breathe.
A woman sharpens a large knife.
A furious dance continues.
Stones are thrown on the ground.
Orders are given to a woman who follows them.
A man, held with ropes, tries to walk, pulling the others with him.
On this image -At this moment- the lights turn off and a thunderous applause starts for an overwhelming and exciting show.
In an era where one is unable to express itself and show his dissent against a corrupted system and a society that often does not represent us, Wut seems a cry of revolt for those who do not have the strength to give vent to their anger.
