Audition call out for a new dance film We are seeking male and female, multi-ethnic, professionally trained dancers with experience in acting for stage or film, alongside actors with experience in dance or physical theatre, for an upcoming, original and provocative dance film, titled UNSKIN.
UNSKIN is a fusion between contemporary dance and narrative cinema, which is set in London, and explores the dehumanising effect of a material world on social, race, and gender identity, in increasingly divisive times.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have the relevant experience in the specified areas of contemporary dance and film/theatre, and must be comfortable in improvisation as well as contact improvisation, to be able to successfully collaborate with the choreographer for the production of the dance scene.
The selected candidates will need to be available for 4 to 5 rehearsals of 3 hours long in early and mid July (3rd-9th and 10th-16th) for the development of the dance scene, alongside two extra pre-filming rehearsals in late September. Production is scheduled for some time in October (to be confirmed) and is estimated to take between 2-3 days. Both rehearsals and production will take place in London. Exact dates and times will be confirmed at a later stage.
Auditions will take place from the 29th of June in London. Dates, times and location to be confirmed upon application.
This is a collaborative effort and an opportunity to be a part of a unique cross-disciplinary project that will stand out in a crowded market, and provide the opportunity to diversify your portfolio with attention-grabbing material. The position is unpaid, but we will offer the successful candidates generous expenses (including travel and food), full credits in the film, on IMDb and wherever the film is promoted, alongside supplied footage for showreels, and promotion via the film’s social media and distribution upon release.
