Cultured Mongrel, compagnia del Regno Unito, sta cercando un danzatore (uomo o donna) energico, potente e ricettivo, formatosi nella danza contemporanea o nello stile hip-hop e che abbia familiarità con l’interazione col pubblico, da integrare nello sviluppo e nel tour di Experts In Short Trousers, ultimo lavoro della compagnia. Coloro che hanno esperienza in popping e boogaloo sono particolarmente invitati a candidarsi.
Experts In Short Trousers è un lavoro originale di teatrodanza che approda in luoghi già esperiti dai bambini ed esplora ciò che significa sostenere qualcuno apparentemente estraneo. Il pubblico dei piccoli e le loro famiglie arrivano al disastro; il cast, i costumi e la scenografia sono sparsi ovunque. Non avendo “mai toccato terra prima”, il pubblico deve insegnare al cast come muoversi, comunicare, vestirsi e costruire il loro mezzo di fuga.
I candidato selezionato dovrà essere disponibile per rappresentazioni in ogni ambiente e in ogni sede dalle case ai musei in ambienti esterni.
Date del contratto: dal 4 aprile al 1 luglio 2016 e dal 19 settembre al 28 ottobre 2016. Sono possibili altre date e potenziali ingaggi nei progetti della compagnia lungo la stagione.
Equity Minimum e spese di trasferimento pagate ove richieste.
I candidati selezionati saranno invitati per un’intervista su Skype e un massimo di 10 danzatori e danzatrici saranno invitati nella settimana che comincia il 15 febbraio 2016. Cultured Mongrel (UK) Audition male or female
Cultured Mongrel are seeking an energetic, playful and receptive dancer, trained in contemporary dance or hip hop styles and familiar with audience interaction to join the company for the development/ tour of their latest work Experts In Short Trousers. Those with experience in popping and boogaloo are particularly encouraged to apply.
Experts In Short Trousers is an original immersive dance theatre work landing in venues to celebrate the expertise children already have and explore what it takes to support someone seemingly alien to you. The young audience and their families arrive to a disaster; the cast, costume and set strewn everywhere. Having never ventured to earth before the audience have to teach the cast how to move, communicate, dress and how to build their escape vehicle. Available for performance in any setting, each show is uniquely tailored to each venue from homes to museums to outdoor settings.
Contract Dates: 4th April – 1st July 2016 + 19th September – 28th October 2016. Additional dates and further potential to engage with company projects possible throughout the year.
Paid at Equity Minimum plus relocation costs where required.
Successful applicants will be invited to a Skype interview and a maximum of ten dancers will be invited to audition in the week commencing 15th February. All applicants will receive a response, please get in touch if you do not hear from us.

Carrying the innate values of hip hop culture whilst exploring new territories in dance theatre Cultured Mongrel make socio-political work with the intention of creating genuine dialogue, under the direction of Emma Jayne Park. ‘High Octane… energetic, witty & playful’ (The Skinny), their practice asks audiences to engage through questioning their own social norms and their consequences. CMDT is dedicated to establishing practices with a focus on supporting creative development, pushing the form and sustaining the sector, including the unique models Permanent Visitor, #TheSoloFilter and Suspended Theatre Tickets.
