BERLINO – Il 25 e 26 giugno, in occasione del quindicesimo anniversario della Kindertanzcompany, sono andati in scena i bambini e i ragazzi della Sasha Waltz & Guests. Sul palco del Radialsystem, la compagnia dei giovanissimi danzatori si è misurata con tre difficili coreografie dimostrando notevoli capacità nella gestione dello spazio e nell’interpretazione.
Lo spettacolo si apre con In C
Coreografia di repertorio della compagnia senior, In C nasce durante la pandemia e viene presentato al pubblico per la prima volta nel marzo del 2021 con una diretta streaming. Il pezzo è montato su musiche in chiave di basso (da cui il titolo) di Terry Riley, ed è caratterizzato da numerose regole. Nell’eseguire le cinquantatré frasi di danza di cui è composto, i danzatori devono tutti rispettare un preciso ordine ma non un numero definito di ripetizioni delle stesse. Questa particolarità fa sì che, portato in teatro dal vivo o all’aperto, in Germania o all’estero, e ogni volta da cast parzialmente diversi, In C è sempre uno spettacolo differente.
Il successo della Kindertanzcompany
L’idea, quindi, di far danzare un pezzo astratto e ‘schematico’ ad adolescenti, pur se nella versione semplificata a cura di Alessandra De Fazio, Annapaola Leso, Aladino Rivera Bianca e Wibke Storkan, poteva apparire un vero azzardo, ma il rischio è stato ampiamente ricompensato. La coreografia, interpretata dai ragazzi della Kindertanzcompany, ancora una volta ha assunto un sapore completamente diverso. Pur perdendo in termini di precisione e tecnica, In C è diventato una vera e propria festa di colori e di immagini. I ragazzi sono riusciti a dare al pezzo un ‘calore’ e una forza coinvolgente che mancano in quello originale. I loro movimenti, il modo spontaneo in cui si coordinano l’uno con l’altro, l’uso istintivo degli spazi e dei livelli, ma soprattutto la vitalità e la gioia della loro esibizione hanno reso la coreografia animata e ricca di suggestioni. Con la loro energia, hanno offerto un’ulteriore e diversa interpretazione di un’opera dalle infinite potenzialità.
Segue Hin & Zurück
Nato da un’idea di Davide Camplani, storico membro della Sasha Waltz & Guest, Hin & Zurück (avanti e indietro) è lo spettacolo dei più piccini. Il gruppo dei bambini, dagli 8 agli 11 anni, si esibisce in una coreografia piena di pathos e simbolismi. In una sorta di dialogo con la natura, i protagonisti di questo pezzo raccontano della loro esperienza durante la pandemia, quando, per le restrizioni dovute al Covid, facevano lezione all’aperto. La coreografia, firmata da Alessandra De Fazio, Annapaola Leso e Joel Suarez Gomez, nasce proprio dall’osservazione e dall’esplorazione dell’ambiente circostante. In Hin & Zurück, infatti, i bambini, accompagnati dalla musica di Alexander Nickmann, hanno portato in teatro la relazione instaurata con la natura, dando vita e forma ai suoi elementi.
Texere chiude lo spettacolo
Nell’ultimo pezzo, come suggerisce il titolo, la Kindertanzcompany tessa e intreccia le suggestioni provocate dalle opere dello scrittore uruguaiano Eduardo Galeano e quelle suscitate dalle foto di Sebastião Salgado, dando vita a una coreografia intensa ed evocativa. Gabriel Galindez Cruz guida i giovani danzatori in questo viaggio di poetiche atmosfere che ha chiuso il bellissimo pomeriggio danzante.

Encomiabile il lavoro fatto con la Kindertanzcompany, una bella speranza per il futuro della danza.
On June 25th and 26th, for the Kindertanzcompany fifteenth anniversary, Sasha Waltz & Guests’ children and young dancers performed at Radialsystem. The company, formed by these very young dancers, carried out three difficult choreographies, demonstrating remarkable skills in space management and interpretation.
The show opens with In C
In C, senior company’s repertoire choreography, was created during the pandemic and, for the first time, it was presented to the audience in March 2021 on live streaming. The piece has been choreographed on bass key music (hence the title) by Terry Riley, and is characterized by numerous rules. The dancers, performing the fifty-three dance phrases of which the piece is composed, must all respect a precise order but not a defined number of repetitions of the same phrases. This peculiarity means that, every time it is performed: live in the theatre or outdoors, in Germany or abroad, and each time by partially different casts, In C is always a different show.
The success of the Kindertanzcompany
For its complexity, the idea of letting teenagers dance an abstract and ‘schematic’ piece, even in the simplified version curated by Alessandra De Fazio, Annapaola Leso, Aladino Rivera Bianca and Wibke Storkan, appeared to be a real gamble, but the risk has been widely rewarded. The choreography, played by the junior company, once again, took on a completely different flavor. While losing in terms of precision and technique, In C has become a real party of colors and images. The guys managed to give the piece a ‘warm’ and an engaging strength that lacks in the original one. Their movements, the spontaneous way in which they coordinate with each other, the instinctive use of spaces and levels, but above all the vitality and joy of their performance made the choreography lively and full of suggestions. With their energy, they offered a further and different interpretation of a work of infinite potential.
Hin & Zurück
Born by an idea of Davide Camplani, historical member of Sasha Waltz & Guest, Hin & Zurück (back and forth) is the show for the little ones. The group of children, aged 8 to 11, performs a choreography full of pathos and symbolism. In a sort of dialogue with nature, the protagonists of this piece tell us about their experience during the pandemic, when, due to Covid restrictions, they trained outdoors. The choreography by Alessandra De Fazio, Annapaola Leso and Joel Suarez Gomez, was born from the observation and exploration of the surrounding environment. In Hin & Zurück, in fact, the children, accompanied by the music of Alexander Nickmann, bring the relationship established with nature into the theatre, giving life and shape to its elements.
Texere closes the show
In the last piece, the Kindertanzcompany weaves and intertwines the suggestions inspired by the works of the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano and those brought forward by Sebastião Salgado’s photos, giving life to an intense and evocative choreography. Gabriel Galindez Cruz, with his choreography, lead the young dancers in this journey of poetic atmospheres that closed the beautiful dancing afternoon.

The work done with the Kindertanzcompany is praiseworthy, a beautiful hope for the future of dance.
