BERLINO – I giorni 5 e 6 ottobre, presso l’Haus der Berliner Festspiele è andato in scena Grand Finale di Hofesh Shechter.
Lo spettacolo si apre con un gruppo di nove danzatori che portano immediatamente sul palco una fortissima energia attraverso movimenti ampi e morbidi che, a tratti, sembrano assumere una valenza rituale. La danza è accompagnata, dall’inizio alla fine, da un quartetto musicale che è inglobato nella scenografia e che diventa parte attiva della performance.
In un costante crescendo, tra meravigliosi giochi di chiaro scuri, fino al Grand Finale, sembra che i protagonisti attraversino la storia, le guerre, la morte, per raggiungere un’esaltazione liberatoria, che precede le delicate immagini che chiudono questo potente racconto.
Una performance in cui musiche (firmate dallo stesso coreografo israeliano), luci, costumi, scenografia e coreografie, sono ingredienti perfettamente bilanciati che concorrono tutti a rendere Grand Finale un grande spettacolo.
On 5th and 6th October, at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Hofesh Shechter’s Grand Finale was on.
The show opens with a group of nine dancers who immediately bring on the stage a very strong energy through large and soft movements that, at times, seem to have a ritual value. The dance is accompanied, from the beginning to the end, by a musical quartet that is incorporated into the scenography and becomes an active part of the performance.
In a steady crescendo, between wonderful games of light and dark, up to the Grand Finale, it seems that the protagonists go through the history, the wars, the death, up to a liberating exaltation that precedes the delicate images that close this powerful story.
A performance in which music (composed by the same Israeli choreographer), lights, costumes, scenography and choreography, are perfectly balanced ingredients that equally contribute to making Grand Finale a great show.
