BERLINO – Dopo il successo di Eternal return, coreografia sulle delicate dinamiche famigliari, torna in scena presso l’Ackerstadt Palast la compagnia Revolver Dance Theatre con lo spettacolo While the Others Go Wild, ultimo lavoro del coreografo portoghese João Cidade.
Nato dall’idea di “collaborazione”, lo spettacolo è caratterizzato dalla coralità della rappresentazione la quale, però, finisce con l’esaltare le qualità dei singoli performer che, uno dopo l’altro, portano in scena – con la collaborazione degli altri danzatori – i loro racconti personali.
Risulta difficile trovare un unico significato per l’intera messa in scena. In While the Others Go Wild le brevi storie di vita si susseguono in una narrazione autentica e sempre diversa, come le qualità espressive e di movimento dei singoli danzatori.
I mattoni, che sin dall’entrata in sala del pubblico sono in vista sul palco, alla fine dello show vengono disposti l’uno sull’altro, forse a voler mettere insieme in un’unica costruzione i frammenti di vita rappresentati in scena.
After the success of Eternal Return, a choreography which tells about delicate family dynamics, Revolver Dance Theater is again on at the Ackerstadt Palast with the show While the Others Go Wild, the latest work by the Portuguese choreographer João Cidade.
Based on the idea of a “collaboration”, the show is characterized by the choral performance of the choreography, which, however, happens to exalt the qualities of the single performers who, one after the other, bring on stage – with the collaboration of the other dancers – their personal tales.
It is difficult to find a single meaning for the entire show. In the While the Others Go Wild, short life stories follows each other, in an authentic and always different narrative style, which matches with the expressive qualities and movements of the dancers.
The bricks, which are on stage from the beginning of the performance, by the end of the show are arranged one on top of each other, perhaps with the intention to symbolize the life fragments that we had just seen on stage.
