After the second edition of the International Festival of New Dance of Aosta, TiDA – Théâtre Danse wants to propose again the project.
The festival will take place from 15th to 21st October 2018 at the Cittadella dei Giovani, partner of the festival, a multidisciplinary centre with multiple and diverse spaces, located in Aosta’s city centre. The aim of the structure is to work with and for the youth. This is an important aspect for us, as one of T*Danse’s goals is to create a link between contemporary art and the new generations.
We require every artist to stay for the entire duration of the festival in order to participate to all the activities, meetings, conferences and to the performances of their fellow artists. It is an opportunity to fight consumerism in the performing arts, and to build a critical and active community.
We ask every applicant to agree to conduct a masterclass for a mixed public (not only professionals), as part of our audience development actions.
We also ask every applicant to participate to a meeting with the audience during the evening of his/her performance and to a feedback meeting (feedback aperò) the day after his/her own performance.
We will provide per diems for every member of the company, in addition to the requested fee for the show, to travel expenses and to the masterclass fee.
Hospitality is one of the characteristics of this festival: artists are hosted by locals. This allows us to save resources that can be invested towards performance fees and helps building an authentic connection between the city, its inhabitants, the festival and the artists.
