After the successful 2014 and 2015 editions, OpenFLR 2016 (2nd/20th July 2016) is looking for one emerging choreographer to come to Florence and create a new piece, alongside internationally acclaimed choreographers.

If selected, you will deliver a half-day workshop/auditions to the participants of OpenFLR 2016. You will then select a group of them and have the opportunity of devising a new creation, working intensively with your group of professional dancers and recent graduates for two weeks. OpenFLR will then culminate in a final presentation, held in a theatre in Florence and open to the public.
This is a brief and unique opportunity to work in an international professional environment!

OpenFLR will provide the selected choreographer with accommodation in Florence (shared room with access to bathroom and kitchen)
OpenFLR will contribute towards her/his transportation costs (up to 250EUR).
OpenFLR will contribute towards the new work’s props/ costume expenses (up to 150EUR)
OpenFLR will provide publicity, visibility and documentation.
The selected choreographer will have to provide their own food.
OpenFLR will NOT provide expenses towards the choreographer’s health insurance.
