Costa Contemporanea, the Festival of Contemporary Dance and Scenic Arts, has announced the call for entries. This year the second Choreography Competition Mujer Contemporanea will take place and it is open to contemporary dance solos of women residing in the European Union.
The aim of the contest is to encourage the artistic creation among women working in the Spanish and European arts scene and acknowledge their creative projects and choreographies.

II Choreography Competition Mujer Contemporánea is open for contemporary dance solo works created by women over the age of 18 and residing legally in the European Union.
THREE pieces will be selected from the received proposals, and will be programmed to be performed on the first day of the festival, in the Awards Gala, which will also be the Opening Gala.
There are partial grants for travel expenses and full grants for accommodation/ allowances/per-diems

professional career to date, future aspirations, a description of the piece to be presented – its content and the intentions of the choreographer.
