FIRE CIRCUS WALKEA è un ensemble diretto da Antti Suniala. La Lux Helsinki Festival ha presentato tre dei precedenti lavori di Suniala nel 2011, 2012 e 2014, e lo ha incaricato di dirigere un nuovo spettacolo con esibizioni con il fuoco anche per il prossimo Festival. Gli spettacoli precedenti hanno presentato giocolieri del fuoco di prima classe e ballerini professionisti e collaborazioni con designer di luce e pirotecnici. Nel 2014 lo spettacolo “Fire Circo Walkea: 360” è stata messo in scena 10 volte in 5 giorni ed è stato visto da oltre 10.000 persone.
Nel 2015 si mira a proporre la combinazione di ballerini, ginnasti e artisti di arti marziali cinesi e il mondo delle arti del fuoco ad un nuovo livello. Durante la produzione si studiEra come lavorare con attrezzature antincendio e con fuoco tenendo conto delle competenze che gli artisti hanno già. Il focus principale è sulla qualità del movimento, coreografia ed espressione.
Si cercano ballerini con una buona conoscenza di contemporaneo e balletto. Ad alto livello ginnaste ritmiche. Artisti marziali principalmente di wushu con tecnica di alto livello, alcune abilità acrobatiche e di buone forme con le armi.
LAVORO FUTURO. Si sta cercando di portare lo spettacolo in altri festival del 2015 e forse del 2016. C’è anche un’opportunità per gli artisti di lavorare per la società di produzione in progetti futuri.
Non è richiesta esperienza precedente nel lavoro con il fuoco. Chi parteciperà al bando sarà introdotto al lavoro di sicurezza e del fuoco da esperti del settore.
Le audizioni si terranno a Berlino 21.-26.8. Chi partecipa è tenuto a eseguire un breve assolo e ballare una coreografia di Cristiana Casadio. Le audizioni saranno individuali e in piccoli gruppi. Invia il tuo CV e un video di una performance o di formazione.

FIRE CIRCUS WALKEA is an ensemble directed by Antti Suniala. The Lux Helsinki Festival has featured three of Suniala’s previous works in 2011, 2012 and 2014, and he has been commissioned to direct a new fire show for the next Festival as well. The previous shows have featured world class fire jugglers and professional dancers and collaborations with light designers and pyrotechnicians. The 2014 show “Fire Circus Walkea: 360” was performed 10 times in 5 days and was seen by over 10,000 people.
The 2015 show aims to take the combination of dancers, rhythmic gymnast and martial artists and the world of fire arts to a new level. During the production we explore how to work with fire and fire equipment with the skills that the artists already have. The main focus is on movement quality, choreography and expression.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR Dancers with strong base in contemporary and ballet. High level rhythmic gymnasts. Martial artists mainly in the style of wushu with high level technique, some acrobatic skills and good weapon forms.
FUTURE WORK. We are looking into continuing with the show in other festivals of 2015 and possibly 2016. There is also opportunity for the artists to work for the production company in the future projects.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH FIRE IS REQUIRED. Performers will be introduced to working with fire and safety issues by experienced professional fire performers.
THE AUDITIONS will be held in Berlin 21.-26.8. You are expected to perform a short solo (for martial artists a weapon form is preferred) and dance a choreography by Cristiana Casadio. Auditions will be individual and in small groups. Send your CV and a video of a performance or training.
