BERLINO – Dall’ 11 al 13 agosto, nell’ambito del Berlin Circus Festival, la compagnia italiana Fabbrica C ha presentato Bello!, uno spettacolo che fa onore il suo nome, non solo per la bellezza del pezzo e i virtuosismi a cui si assiste, ma anche per la critica parodica ai canoni di bellezza prestabiliti e al rapporto degli italiani con il bello.
Un uomo aspetta in fila, e come sempre, l’attesa non finisce mai. Solo la magia dell’amore, del prossimo e della comunità gli farà superare l’attesa.
Così, con malinconica poesia, la voce narrante ci guida in una vivace esibizione che si nutre di uno splendido coro di agili personaggi che cercano di trovare il loro posto nel mondo. E mentre l’uomo solitario racconta storie, si assiste a equilibrismi, acrobazie e azioni di contact, sempre accompagnate da ironia e buon umore.
Tutti nel gruppo hanno caratteristiche e personalità diverse ed è molto interessante vedere come i performers interagiscano tra di loro utilizzando le proprie caratteristiche e le proprie specialità acrobatiche. Dalla piccolina al gigante, dal capello rosso al capello scuro, dal muscoloso al magro, dal delicato al primitivo, ma tutti belli. Sopratutto quando comincia il fashion show, in cui ognuno indossa vestiti stravaganti con lo stile che tutti si aspettano da una compagnia italiana.
Sorpresa dopo sorpresa, battuta dopo battuta, il pubblico, emozionato, risponde a suon di applausi e risate. Molto divertente il gran finale quando, indossando tutù rosa, i performers salgono uno sull’altro per creare una torre altissima.
Bello! è uno spettacolo pieno di momenti ad alto rischio in cui, in ogni momento viene ribadito come la società italiana da sempre dia peso al ‘bello’ e al giudizio altrui, talvolta allontanandosi dalla realtà e da ciò che conta veramente.
Italians and beauty
From August 13th to 11th, in the Berlin Circus Festival, the Italian company Fabbrica C presented Bello!, a show that makes honour to its name, but not only for the beauty of the piece and the virtuosity that everyone witnesses, but also for the parodic critic to the preset beauty canons and to the relationship from Italians with beautiness.
A man waits in line, and as always, the waiting never ends. Only the magic of love, of the others and of the community, will let him overcome all this waiting.
Like this, with melancholic poetry, our narrator’s voice guide us through a vivid exhibition that is nourished by an extraordinary chorus of agile characters that are looking for their place in this world. While the solitary man tells his stories, balance, acrobatics, and contact acts happen simultaneously, always full of irony and good humor.
Everybody in the group has different characteristics and personalities and it is really interesting to see how the performers interact with each other by using their own qualities and acrobatic specialities. From the little one to the giant, from red haired to brunette, from the muscular to the slim, from the delicate to the rough, but yes, all beautiful. Specially when everyone wears extravagant clothes for the fashion show, with all the style that is expected from an Italian company. Surprise after surprise, gag after gag, the excited audience reacts with laughter and applause. Also very funny the grand finale, when dressed in pink tutu, the performers climb on each other to create a very high tower.
Bello! is a show full of high risk moments and in every episode is clearly exposed how Italian society gives great attention to “il bello” and to the others’ judgement, many time getting further from reality and all that really matters.
