Auditions
The auditioning artist should display a strong classical training, have experience in contemporary dance and a passion for the creative process.
For the 2016 – 2017 Season, Ballet BC is looking for the following:
- Experienced female and male dancers interested in a diverse collaborative environment that focuses on the innovation and creation of contemporary ballet. The artist should display strong classical training, have experience in contemporary dance and a passion for the creative process. The 2016 – 2017 season will include 43 weeks of work.
- Talented, young male and female graduates who have completed a professional training program to join the Ballet BC Apprentice Program. The program will take place between July 2016 – May 2017 and will provide Apprentices with a weekly honorarium.
- Young, aspiring graduate students who have completed a professional training program to attend our International Summer Dance Intensive in collaboration with Arts Umbrella, August 8 – 26, 2016.

Ballet BC will host two auditions in Eastern Canada/US:

LOCATION: Canada’s National Ballet School, Studio 5A
(400 Jarvis Street)
Please bring a CV and dance photo.The audition will consist of ballet class and learning of company repertoire. Ladies, please bring pointe shoes.
No advance registration. There will be a $20 registration fee for all auditions. Cash only.

VANCOUVER AUDITIONS
Auditions in Vancouver are by appointment only.
Auditions are by appointment only. Please email a CV, photos, and video links toauditions@balletbc.com.
- CV: Including training, performance experience, full name, email address, phone number, and citizenship.
- Photos: One head shot and one dance photo (full body).
- Video: Link to high quality stage or studio video, no more than 10 minutes in length, that displays a range of repertoire in contemporary ballet. Women should include use of pointe work.
We welcome and encourage dancers from across Canada.
