BERLINO – Lo scorso fine settimana, finalmente a Berlino, la Gauthier dance company ha portato in scena presso l’Haus der Berliner Festspiele: Nijinski, coreografia di Marco Goecke su musiche di Chopin e Debussy.
Ispirato allo straordinario artista del secolo scorso, Nijinski è uno straordinario spettacolo che ripercorre – tra realtà e immaginazione – la vita del ballerino autore di opere celebri e controverse come L’après-midi d’un faune (1912) su musica di Debussy e Le Sacre du Printemps (1913) su musica di Stravinskij.
Attraverso una danza composta dalla stessa gestualità – cosi caratteristica – del grande Nijinsky, Marco Goethe è superlativo nel rappresentare l’incontro di Nijinsky con Djagilev, il rapporto con la madre, la sua sessualità, le sue grandi interpretazioni (Petrushka di Igor Stravinskij, Le Spectre de la Rose), l’incontro con Romola, fino allo stato confusionale che segnò la sua fine.
Incredibilmente bravi tutti i danzatori ed eccezionale Rosario Guerra, la cui impersonificazione di Nijinsky lascia senza fiato.
Last weekend, finally in Berlin, the Gauthier dance company brought on stage at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele: Nijinski, a choreography by Marco Goecke with music by Chopin and Debussy.
Inspired by the extraordinary artist of the last century, Nijinski is an extraordinary show which tells – between reality and imagination – the life of the dancer, and author, of famous and controversial works such as L’après-midi d’un faune (1912) on Debussy’s music and Le Sacre du Printemps (1913) on Stravinsky’s music.
Through a dance based on the same gestures – so characteristic – of the great Nijinsky, Marco Goethe is unpeccable in representing the meeting between Nijinsky and Djagilev, the relationship with his mother, his sexuality, his great interpretations (Petrushka by Igor Stravinsky, Specter de la Rose), the meeting with Romola, up to the confusion that marked the end of his life.
All the dancers are incredibly good. Rosario Guerra, who impersonates Nijinsky, leaves you breathless, and it is a true pleasure to watch him performe.
