Rambert is looking for an exceptional performer to join the cast for the recreation of Lloyd Newson (DV8)’s Enter Achilles. Rehearsing through to February 2020 and touring until summer 2021, the production is co-produced by Rambert, Sadler’s Wells and 10 international partners. You’ll be joining a hand-picked ensemble recreating this seminal work for a major international tour.
We are looking for applicants who can play a male character, ‘blokey’ and vulnerable at the same time, with a playing age of late 20’s upwards. You should have outstanding contact improvisation and acting skills. An understanding of the connection between meaning and movement is key, as well as the ability to deliver text convincingly. You need to be able to speak and understand English and it is an advantage if you can do a British accent.
For an insight into what we are looking for please contact Sophie Knowles, email address below, who can provide you with a link to the BBC film version of Enter Achilles as well as details of some specific sections we would like to draw your attention to.
Please send a CV, headshot and movement video links (in which you are clearly identifiable), together with details of your availability (18 November 2019 – summer 2021) to:
